Friends,

 As of first ---- 15 years ago or so we had a FRIENDS list available on our member home page.  A few years ago the FRIENDS were changed to FOLLOWERS by the NGC group. 

 Now there is not even a followers list on our home page.  Is this Followers list coming back?? Seems the club is moving more and more towards unsocial practices.

Use to be a member could post their journal from their private member page. Now they have to go to Chat Boards to do so. I don't mind it but I know that many members do not use the chat boards. Will there be a link later to post journals from the member page?

I just recieved my 2011SSSSS (non SSSSS) ASE

I believe these were trucked in from Pennsylvania Needing the coin for the slot that "NGC" says I have to purchase to actually complete to date. It is a joke that I have 2----2011 American Silver Eagles from 2 mints that are IDENTICAL. And the only people to blame for this is the GRADING COMPANIES we rely on for the best of quality. =NGC & PCGS------ I HOPE THIS SERIES DIES SOON. HAPPY COIN COLLECTING Thanks NGC for including this so-called coin in your set.

NO CHAT BOARDS???

Hmmm things keep disappearing around here I logged into the chats this weekend to read up on different threads started this month. I don't know what went wrong but it sure didn't get repaired before the weekend started. Good luck trying to have a conversation in the chats. GOOD BYE--2011

Last Eagles for the year

Too many Eagles this year Friends, As the year started there was a good feeling as I added a MS or PF eagle to the two sets. By the time that the mint offered the no mint mark Sanfrancisco coin I was frustrated. But having the full set I went for the coin anyway. Will be an interesting week

Started out Sunday with a late lunch. Friends, Sitting in J.Peters parking lot Sunday and Kamakazy pulls up in his car and parks next to us. Hopping out of the car towards me leaving the door open "here hold this" and back to his car. Ahhh, The famous sequential brown label 25th Aniv. 70s set. It's time for the GRADING GAME

I renewed my membership and ready to GAMBLE Friends, I finally got around to membership renewal--Elite of coarse. I ordered my mylar flips from Wizard Suply, first 2" and then I called the next day and they fixed the order to 2 1/2" for me. A few more dimes

A few more points Friends, While working in Fla. I purchased a few silver dimes for one of my sets (and for the mint sets). While there for 5 weeks I had no access to internet so checking the journals was out for a while. Loosing internet contact for that long sucks. a fun day loading a set Friends, I returned home after a month of working out of state last night. new additions to a old set

Finally! a set started last year will get new faces. Friends, Sometimes we start sets intending to build them but get pulled to something else that is easier, less expensive, or faster. So the set just sits there month after month letting you know you have changed your sites. MORE COINS---MORE COINS---MORE COINS---MORE COINS

Time to fill another collection box. Friends, I have a couple sets 100% and a bunch of sets 1% to 10%. Each set has it's own holding box after it reaches 5 coins or more. I have gone out on a limb and grabbed a nest full of Silver Eagle Proofs. All are 69s and 1 70 yep EARLY RELEASE = the special egg. It will be refreshing to add a new box to my stash. Currently own 2 Silver Eagle proofs but will add 16 or more by the end of the month and get these turkeys looking ready for flight. HAPPY

I LOST A FEW MORGANS THIS WEEK

BUT I GAINED 15 MERCURY DIMES Friends, I made a choice to trade off 4 morgans for a short set of Merc's this week. In the trade three were the highest points morgans I owned but I really wanted the better grades on those coins later. I received the merc's today and not only were they beautiful they were in a NGC box to boot--thanks JimL4004. Changing Gears

Third gear went out----Morgans and President Dollars Friends, I have been having a great time collecting so far this year. I guess I have started around 10 different sets but two sets have set Idle. I am not sure I am enjoying these as much so they are getting moved into my Sale or Trade lot. COIN STORAGE BOXES #4

Wow what did I start here? Hey Buds, As we have been going on about the storage boxes I have always wanted a special Brief Case or something of the sort. Does anyone have a nice aluminum case or fire-proof that will hold 100 or more very special graded coins? COIN STORAGE BOXES

The best way to keep em nice. Friends, I have been putting all my graded coins in PCGS boxes for a while. I used the PCGS grading company for 2 years as I built my previous Morgan set. I had around 12 boxes and stored all the coins in them but the NGC coins kept the tops from closing. A SILVER DIME ADITION

Presidents have left

A short stay for a sweet First Day Issue set Friends, Well the presidential dollars sure didn't stick around here very long. Stock Market Crash Again?
