1841 NO DRAPERY 10C

Variety Diagnostics

This coin has the Robert Hughes version of the Seated Liberty adopted in mid-1840, yet there is no drapery present at Liberty's left elbow.

Comments

Once thought to be the result of overpolished dies, this variety is now known to be a unique issue that does not conform exactly to any other Seated Liberty Dime.
