THE NGC MULTI-COIN HOLDER The Premier
Presentation Option for Certified Coins
The NGC Multi-Coin Holder is the premier presentation
option for sets of certified coins. A comprehensive list of pre-designed sets
is available for the most popular configurations, but virtually any combination
of coins can be placed in a NGC Multi-Coin Holder. At the request of collectors,
we have created custom die variety sets, grading sets (e.g. Morgan Dollars,
MS63 – MS67), and token sets.
The NGC Multi-Coin Holder can accommodate from two
to five coins, and up to six coins for Proof and Mint Sets. Each coin is given
its own certification number on the large format label. Coins in the Multi-Coin
Holder are therefore eligible for inclusion in the NGC Registry individually.
Utilizing the same state-of-the-art plastics as NGC’s single-coin holders,
Multi-Coin Holders are sonically sealed, tamper-evident, and include a security
hologram.
Set Options
For your convenience, we have compiled a list of Multi-Coin
Holder options. Choosing one of these standard configurations assures that
your coins will be encapsulated in the same fashion as other sets already available.
An endless number of custom sets can be made at your request.
Fees
The fee for reholdering single coins already graded by NGC into Multi-Coin sets is still just $5 per coin. The fee for raw coins is based on our standard grading fees per coin. There is no additional charge for the Multi-Coin Holder if you are requesting that the coins are put into sets as you specify on your submission form regardless of grade. Starting April 1, 2007, an additional special handling fee of $5 per coin will be applied to submissions of coins for Multi-Coin Holder service where the submitter requests that Multi-Coin Holder sets are constructed based on the grading results of the coins.

Frequently Asked Questions about the NGC Multi-Coin Holder
Q. Can raw (uncertified) coins be sent in for grading with coins already certified by NGC for encapsulation in the Multi-Coin Holder?
A. Yes. Submit coins
for grading on an invoice by themselves, for example invoice #12345. The
coins already encapsulated by NGC should be sent in for reholder (check
the Multi-Coin Holder box). Write clearly on the reholder invoice that
you would like the coins placed in a Multi-Coin Holder with coins from
invoice #12345.
If several different services are being requested, please enclose correspondence
detailing your requests. IMPORTANT: Place every coin on a NGC submission
invoice, and request only one service per invoice.
Q. When sending coins in for grading, do additional fees apply for encapsulation in the NGC Multi-Coin Holder?
A. No. Only regular
grading fees apply, and there is no additional charge to have coins placed
in the Multi-Coin Holder. There is a $5.00 per coin reholder fee when
NGC coins are removed from single coin holders and placed in the Multi-Coin
Holder.
Q. Can I have coins removed from a Multi-Coin Holder and placed into single coin holders?
A. Yes. Use a submission
invoice and request reholder service. Write clearly on your submission
form that you want coins placed in single coin holders. A $5.00 per coin
reholder fee applies.
Q. My Multi-Coin Holder is scratched. Can it be reholdered?
A. Yes. Submit your
Multi-Coin Holder to us for reholder service. In this case, only a $5.00 per holder fee applies.
Q. Can I specify my own title for a NGC Multi-Coin Holder Set?
A. Yes. We have
certified and encapsulated thousands of custom sets. One popular option
is a birth year set with a child's name and date of birth. NGC reserves
the right to change a proposed set's description to conform with our existing
standards and set definitions. Your request may be refused if we believe
the title is not appropriate or not market acceptable.
