Description & Analysis

Jeff Garrett: The 1927 Double Eagle is the second most common date of the series. Large numbers of the issue has survived and over 200,000 coins have been certified by the major grading services. This date makes an excellent candidate for a type coin. The production quality for this issue is outstanding and Gem examples of this date are among the best for the series.
