Description & Analysis

This is another scarce but not truly rare entry in the San Francisco Mint series of half dimes. Many were marred through jewelry use, while many others went to the Caribbean and Latin America after becoming obsolete in domestic circulation.

Mint State survivors are rare and highly prized, while circulated examples lacking damage or harsh cleaning are nearly as rare.
