Description & Analysis

This is a date that is available across a broad range of grades, and Mint State pieces are not rare. The typical example is a bit weakly struck in the lower wreath opposite Liberty's head, a problem with many dimes of this type.

Two repunched date varieties are known. When married to late die state (LDS) reverse dies, these are included within the Top 100.
