The NGC Universal ID is a four digit alphanumeric that groups coins based on a unique combination of date, mintmark, denomination and striking process (MS, PF, or SP). These IDs are a simple organization of all coins prior to variety attribution and grading.
The mintage of the 1892 is relatively low for a Philadelphia issue. Just above 1 million pieces were struck. While this production is more than the 1893 through 1895 rarities, in addition to the well-saved 1899, most Philadelphia issues have mintages in the millions. This includes the conditionally rare 1901. The 1892 is available through the MS62 grade, but Gems are very scarce.
