Description & Analysis

This is a very common issue in circulated and lower Mint State grades, though quality control problems have limited the number of gems as compared to several earlier dates. The typical 1910 nickel is a bit softly struck and displays worn dies having eroded fields and mediocre luster. The example illustrated is superior to most.
