Description & Analysis

1924 Philadelphia Mint nickels are usually available in most grades, with only gem pieces being somewhat scarce. Coins in the higher circulated grades of XF and AU are also a bit elusive.

This issue is almost never found fully struck, most examples being a bit weak in the Indian's hair and the bison's forehead. The luster is usually good, and this is more of a factor in grading than strike.
