Description & Analysis

Though somewhat elusive in the higher circulated grades, this issue is fairly plentiful in Mint State. Even gems are not truly rare. Most examples show the slight weakness of strike almost always present on New Orleans Mint coins of the period, but luster is usually satisfactory.

There are no varieties of note, aside from the very popular Micro O variety (see next entry).
