Description & Analysis

Walter Breen noted that this is a transitional year with new obverse and reverse hubs introduced, although he stated that the old reverse hub 'continued intermittently through 1905.' The new obverse hub has the N in UNITED clearly separated from the hair ribbon, unlike the previous years where this letter touched the hair ribbon.
