The NGC Universal ID is a four digit alphanumeric that groups coins based on a unique combination of date, mintmark, denomination and striking process (MS, PF, or SP). These IDs are a simple organization of all coins prior to variety attribution and grading.
The '90-CC Half Eagle in Uncirculated grades is the second most available issue of the denomination from the historic Carson City facility, behind the far more obtainable 1891-CC. Virtually all Mint State survivors are evenly dispersed between the MS60 and MS64 grade levels, and number between 200 and 300 coins. Only a small handful of examples exceed the MS64 tier.
