Description & Analysis

The production figure for the 1922 Philadelphia Peace dollar was the largest of the entire series, approaching 52 million pieces in all. Even today, many millions of those coins survive, turning up frequently in well-circulated condition as part of "common" generic silver dollar bags and rolls.
