The NGC Universal ID is a four digit alphanumeric that groups coins based on a unique combination of date, mintmark, denomination and striking process (MS, PF, or SP). These IDs are a simple organization of all coins prior to variety attribution and grading.
Jeff Garrett: The 1926 Indian Head Quarter Eagle is among the most common issues for the series. The date can be found in all grades including MS 65. All of the late date (1925–D to 1929) issues are usually purchased as examples for the type. Superb examples are very rare and none have been graded MS 67 (11/12).
