NGC Announces New Submission Forms, Revised Services and Fees

Posted on 3/5/2013

Updates are effective April 1, 2013, and include new submission fees for both US and world coins.

NGC has announced updated submission forms and a revised services and fees schedule that will go into effect April 1, 2013.

NGC is introducing one submission form for both US and World coins. In addition, Collectors Society members and dealers will use the same submission form.

The Terms and Conditions, previously referenced in the Payment and Signature box for credit card payments, is now a separate section (Box 11) and must be signed for your order to be processed.

The modified form also includes a Consent to Remove Coins and a Release for Coins with Additive Applications located on the back of the cover sheet. If applicable, the Consent and/or Release must be signed and returned with the submission.

The new form is intended to simplify the submission process. All coins shipped to NGC after March 31, 2013, should be accompanied by the new submission form. Note: US and World coins must still be submitted on separate forms.

While a number of refinements to services and fees are being introduced, changes that affect World coins, Variety Plus®, Mint Error, ReHolder and Imaging services are most significant.

NGC has changed the maximum value limit on several of its World grading tiers to coincide with the corresponding US grading tiers. Additionally, the maximum value limit for both US and World Modern and Modern Special tiers is $2,500. Changes to services include increases to Variety Plus, Mint Error and some ReHolder services.

NGC's Photo Vision, a PDF with high-quality enlarged images of the coin's obverse and reverse and label information, has been reduced to $15. Do you have a special imaging request? Contact the NGC Imaging Service Department.

The Return Packaging (Ex. Mint capsules, Certificates of Authenticity and Mint boxes) fee has been changed to $3 per submission plus shipping. These items will be returned immediately; not with the graded coins.

NGC Ancients is also introducing one submissionform for both Collectors Society Members and Dealers. In addition, the Ultra Rarities Tier fee has been changed to 1 percent of value.

Discounted submission rates are available to NGC Authorized Dealers and Elite-level members of the NGC Collectors Society.

Please refer to the chart below for more details on these and all other 2013 service revisions.
